GET YOURSELF SOME EMEL BY MELINDA LOOI

I don't know if you've heard of this before, but I feel so bad for not sharing this with you guys cause the emel by Melinda Looi collection for Eid is just simply breathtaking! Why 'emel'? It was actually derived from the Arabic word 'amal' which coherently lives up to this collection's charity aim in helping  and supporting Keluarga Besar Norlina Alawi Berhad (KBNAB, formerly known as Pusat Kebajikan PERNIM Berhad) an NGO dedicated in helping abandoned/orphaned children with HIV aids).

Proceeds of sales will go towards the NGO itself. So technically you will kill two birds with one stone, which is you get to shop a designer piece, and at the same time do some charity for the less fortunate--perfect for what Ramadan is all about.

So I was so thrilled that Melinda Looi (a talented & famous fashion designer, duh) came up with a ready-to-wear (rtw) collection for us masses!

But first of all, let's feast your eyes with what emel is all about shall we?

For the print-lover gal

For those shy-shy cats who's in love with subtle colors such as nude and beige

For the lacey lovers and also not forgetting songket coveters

For those who screams in color!

Aaanndd, for you hijabis, what better way to complete your emel by Melinda outfit than to wear a hijab designed by Diana Amir, for which she collaborated with emel by Melinda Looi, right? Gahhh too much awesomeness you can have on you! :D

Okay, okay, I know you're dying to know where you can get your very own emel by Melinda Looi and Diana Amir X emel by Melinda Looi, right??

Melinda Looi Boutiques
  • Bangsar Showroom
  • Parkson Pavilion
  • Parkson KLCC Pop-Up Store

What i am looking forward for my Ramadhan is that I will appreciate everyday of the Holy Month and making it better than past Ramadhan by doing more amal, upgrading the quality of my fasting by taking care of my eyes, tongue, ear and my heart. Assalamualaikum Shea!

Honestly, for this Ramadhan, I want to devote and re-evaluate myself to be a better servant to Him. As a daughter and big sister, I really want to be there for my family: for sahur, iftar, performing terawih, literally doing everything together! Last but not least, hoping I'd turn out as a better muslimah at heart and covering my aurah properly (P/s: hoping to channel your fashion sense into my look book, perhaps with the help of Diana Amir x emel by Melinda Looi scarves?) ;)

Sincerely,
Mazlina Nina Binti Masngut

What I am most looking forward to in Ramadhan is the total feeling of calmness during the whole month of Ramadhan. Solat terawikh of course and the lovely voice of the Imam reciting surah which tends to send goosebumps down my spine. Abundance of charity being given out the the less fortunate , memang lah all year around there is charity but during the month of Ramadhan people are racing with one and other to give as much charity to the less fortunate. Togetherness and silaturrahim between family and friends which becomes even closer together.
