Last Saturday my girls decided to host a surprise mini birthday party for our dear friend, Tia. We were sooo excited to meet her on the said day and on the suggested place. We had brunch and later surprised Tia with a rich chocolate cake every girl deserves on her birthday.
Let me tell you something about Tia.. She's the type of lady who's always there when you need her. She'll never say no to you cause I think that the word does not exist in her vocabulary. She's always calling us, her friends, 'sayang' (my love), and has the KINDEST heart you could ever meet. She's wickedly talented in videography and is hired by soooo many people in the industry for her touch in their videos.
So yeah, that's my bestie, Tia. I must have certainly done something right to be able to let herself call me that too :)
Denim croped jacket: Bershka
Pleather skirt: aere (via FashionValet)
Clutch: From Philippines
I paired a denim jacket for I know she loves denim jackets with this gorgeous new pleather (faux leather) skirt that I saw when it was just launched and immediately knew I had to have it. You can't deny, baby pink and blue looks so good together!
In celebrating my sweetest girlfriend's birthday, of course I had to put on something sweet to commemorate the day too. So yes, my outfit today pretty much describes my friend, sweet, humble and all around fun, friend--Tia.
That's the beauty about genuine friendships that start off (and insyaAllah will never end) purely out of love. You complement each other, they motivate you to be better, they're there through your highs and most importantly your lows, and they have damn comfy shoulders to cry on when you're down in the dumps.
This is friendship--just because.
Speaking about birthdays, one thing I can sum up about life is that age does not mature you. It's your wisdom, life experiences, lessons and outlook on life is what forms you to become a woman with substance. Everyone can grow and add another year to their age, but to grow with that big chunk of quality within you? That's the hardest and yet the most valuable thing one can possess. Not money, not success, your physical appearance and certainly not your social status.
(Sorry for the long sisterly words!) Haha
