Thoughts: Alive and Kicking!

Hello my ladies!! How have you been? I'm super duper sorry for being away from my laptop cause you see I was in Turkey this past week! It was an impromptu decision and I had to literally pack my bags and go just like that. It was for work purposes, so I could't be totally chill about it haha..

So I went with my new friends, above! I met them for this specific project I'm working on and masyaAllah, the experience I had with them was just amaze balls.

And very recently too, I had just launched my very own line!! I'm so happy (and nervous) to announce to you about all my new designs in my first ever collection. I got a few feedbacks from friends and family near and far, so this will be my answer to you guys! :D

WHY CHOOSE PASTEL COLORS?
Because they're just plain lovely! And all I want for people who wear my designs is to look as lovely as they possibly can hehe.. DOn't get me wrong, you can certainly look lovely with other colours, but somehow I want women to look heavenly on the first day of Eid, preferably :)

WHY USE JAPANESE COTTON FABRIC?
I wore this gorgeous Dian Pelangi cotton dress for my Eid last year, and I never looked back. I have always loved cotton shirts, and I feel like the world needs more of cotton dresses thanks to its laid-back ness, its structure and most importantly its comfort. When I first wore the samples, I was like, man, I should make sleeping gowns too.

WHAT'S THE DEISGN FEATURE OF YOUR COLLECTION?
As you can see from my website, you will notice that I applied strips of similar lines in each dress in a different manner each. Some is applied on the waist, some on the shoulders, and some on the bodice. It's basically just a way for me to express this collection in a single themed manner. That I learnt throughout my studying days as a fashion student.

WHAT IS THE BASIS OF YOUR DESIGN?
When I design, I consider figure and body shape. Seriously. I was never a slim girl. Still not. So I know what women look for in order to achieve a look that complements their body shape well. For instance, Faye and Fiora would work so well with women with bigger arms. The flaps will hide your flaps (or in this case, mine hahaha). And Aria and Hazel is so made for women with wider bottom halves as the designs focused on top is the main feature. Whilst women with a bustier top, Rosea is so made for you. And for women who has perfect body shapes, I say I hate you. hahahahaha. You can wear pretty much everything from this collection!

WHAT EXTRA DETAILS OF YOUR COLLECTION THAT YOU APPLIED IN YOUR DESIGNS?
I actually used cuffs and zippered sleeves on the dresses and it varies from one design to another. Life indeed is unpredictable, so I think my designs should be too.

WHAT'S WITH THE NAMES?
Every dress is actually named according to my family's initials! hehehehe.. That's something personal and fun I'd like to have in my designs.

WHICH DRESS IS YOUR FAVORITE?
Oh man. I cannot choose!! I bought them all for myself as well, you see. Hahaha. When I tried the samples before production, I was like, mannnn, I can't wait for everyone to try this themselves. Cause this chubby girl me can look good in it, I'm sure all of you beauties can look a million times more prettier in it!
