Today is indeed a special day for the world, as it is the birthday of Malala Yousfazai, the education activist who won a Nobel Peace Prize for advocating human rights and education for women. She hails from Pakistan, and has been fearlessly flying around the world sending messages of hope towards a better world: A world where education is not scarce anymore.
I decided to join in the bandwagon and uploaded this image of mine with one of my favourite books, O's Litte Book of Happiness, written by the Editors of The Oprah Magazine and hashtagging it to #booksnotbullets.
We need to voice up and demand our right for education for those countries restricting women (especially) in learning and getting knowledge. I just don't understand why would someone restrict or ban women from entering schools? Are they that scared? Alhamdulillah I'm from a country as blessed as Malaysia where getting education is merely a click away. I hope one day all my fellow sisters around the world will be as lucky as I am.
